Nicole's Hoodie

I forgot to post pictures of my niece Nicole in her hooded sweater so here they are - a little blurry because of jumping dogs but it looks wonderful on her and I hope she wears it all the time.

Slow Progress RCC

I have a couple more pics on the RCC, however, it's very slow going since I frogged it twice for size problems.... the bamboo doesn't give much and it was way to tight. I think I've got it now though here are two skeins knitted up.

Dirk's Sweater Finished!

I finished Dirk's sweater finally after frogging it twice to get the size right. I wasn't following any particular pattern other than an old sweater he had... It was frustrating to say the least...but it is finally done. I hope he likes it. here are a few pics of it.

Outside Philadelphia

On the home front:

I've decided to stay with my dad for the winter, he lives outside Philadelphia, I've also signed up for the Philly Stitch and Bitch to meet some local knitters. This will be good for me since I've only managed to visit with him or anyone else for a week at a time. It will also give me approximately 4 months to hang out with the rest of my family, who live within 2 hours drive of dad's house.

I've never been to NYC:

Last month "L" and I were visiting the east coast family and my mom mentioned that she wanted to see the Rockettes again, apparently her two Aunts took her to see them when she was a girl. My sister Kelly and I decided this would be a good Birthday/Christmas present for her. We were thinking a girls weekend trip to the city, take the train from Baltimore, see the show and either take the train home or spend a night in the Big Apple (here's a link to a special on Amtrak:

Started RCC finally

Here is the first skein of Berocco Bonsai knitted up on 3.25mm circular needles. My picture looks a bit orange, sorry bad lighting.

Progress on Dirk's Sweater

Well I was knitting away while watching a movie last night and just about finished the second sleeve of Dirk's sweater...So next will be blocking, sewing and adding the collar. I can't wait for this one to be done, I hope he wears it lots this winter.
